How to Borrow?

Guide on how to borrow tokens on Texture. 🧩

To begin with, make sure, that your URL is https://texture.finance/lendy/borrow.

If all good, proceed to the next steps:

  1. Click on Borrow and Lend Tokens 🔥 tab

  2. Next, click on Connect Wallet button

  3. And then click on Borrow button

Now that your wallet is connected, let's move on to the Borrow tokens tutorial.

Here is a quick overview of Texture's borrow tokens interface and how you can use it to borrow tokens:

  1. Half and Max buttons to quickly set the amount of tokens to lock to take out a loan

  2. Wallet token balance: we detect the amount of tokens in your wallet that you want to lock

  3. Token to lock: selector to pick the token you lock to take out a loan, read Lock token selector

  4. Amount of tokens to lock: type in the amount of tokens to lock

  5. Market price of the token you lock: current on-chain market price of the token you lock sourced from Pyth or Jupiter.

  6. Max available borrow tokens: shows the maximum amount of tokens you can borrow against tokens you have chosen to lock

  7. Token to borrow: this is the token you borrow against the token you lock

  8. Token borrow amount: amount of tokens you borrow against the amount of tokens you lock

  9. Borrow action button: click and LFG, if you are happy with amount you get to borrow!

  10. Loan Parameters

    • Loan size: amount of tokens you borrow

    • Loan duration: you have 7 days to return tokens you borrowed, otherwise lender claims tokens you lock

    • Loan-to-Value or LTV: token borrow amount ratio to lock token amount times its current market price 🧐 👉

    • Fixed interest rate for 7 days: loan interest is fixed and doesn't increase or decrease

    • Upfront platform fee: a small fee Texture charges to maintain the platform

    • Liquidation: lenders can claim your locked tokens only if you don't return borrowed tokens in 7 days, no matter how high or how low the LTV of your loan goes 🫡

Lock token selector

Click on lock token selector to choose the token you want to lock and the token you want to borrow.

You will then see tokens you can borrow and lock in the pop up window:

  1. Token to borrow: you can either choose USDC or SOL

  2. Token to lock: choose the token you want to lock as loan collateral, Texture offers plenty of them

  3. Current price: on-chain market price of the token you want to lock

  4. Max available: shows the maximum amount of tokens you can borrow against particular token you choose to lock

  5. Loan-to-Value: shows the max LTV loan in every token pair
